چکیده

Results of calculations of the photoelectron spectra for single-photon pulsed-field ionization of the 1p orbital of the X P ~v950! ground state NO leading to the a S ~v50–2! excited ionic state are reported. Agreement between these calculated and recently measured spectra is very encouraging. Comparison of these spectra for ionization of the 1p level of NO ~X P! with those for the 2p orbital reveal significantly different spectral profiles and underlying dynamics for these two cases. © 1996 American Institute of Physics. @S0021-9606~96!01710-3#

Zero kinetic energy photoelectron spectroscopy of triphenylene.

We report vibrational information of both the first electronically excited state and the ground cationic state of jet-cooled triphenylene via the techniques of resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) and zero kinetic energy (ZEKE) photoelectron spectroscopy. The first excited electronic state S1 of the neutral molecule is of A1' symmetry and is therefore electric dipole forbidden in ...

Reevaluation of the use of photoelectron angular distributions as a probe of dynamical processes: strong dependence of such distributions from s1 paradifluorobenzene on photoelectron kinetic energy.

Photoelectron angular distributions (PADs) have been measured following the excitation of the S1 origin band in paradifluorobenzene using a range of ionizing wavelengths and for resolved ion vibrational states. The PADs show a dramatic sensitivity to the photoelectron kinetic energy over an energy range of at least 1 eV from threshold, and almost no sensitivity to any prepared intermediate stat...

Zero Kinetic Energy Photofragment Spectroscopy: The Threshold Dissociation of NO2

A new type of photofragment spectroscopy has been developed and applied to the photodissociation of NO2. Photofragments with zero recoil kinetic energy are selectively detected as the total energy of the dissociating system is varied. The resulting spectra provide information about the transitions that occur between energy levels of the transition state and energy levels of the final products. ...

Photoelectron kinetic energy dependence in near threshold ionization of NO from A state studied by time-resolved photoelectron imaging.

Photoelectron angular distributions in the laboratory frame (LF-PADs) from the A((2)sigma(+)) state of NO molecule were measured by femtosecond time-resolved photoelectron imaging with (1 + 1(')) resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization via the A state. High-precision measurements of the anisotropy parameters of LF-PADs were performed for the photoelectron kinetic energy from 0.03 to 1.05 eV a...

Zero kinetic energy spectroscopy of hydroquinone-water (1:1) complex: a probe for conformer assignment.

Zero kinetic energy (ZEKE) photoelectron spectroscopy of the hydroquinone-water (HQW) complex was carried out to characterize its S(1)-S(0) resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectrum in terms of the cis and trans conformers. The ZEKE spectra of the hydroquinone isomers show differences in the Franck-Condon (FC) activity of a few ring modes, viz., modes 15, 9b, and 6b, due to th...
